3rd year anniversary sweepstakes
On reading about the 3rd year anniversary sweepstakes I found that it is only open to legal US residents.
Are Anet going to do a promotion like this for Europe, Australia/New Zealand, Asia, Africa, South America? It would be nice if they did as it looks to be a very nice prize package up for grabs and then the WHOLE Guild Wars community can participate in this sweepstakes promotion. I for one know that Australia and New Zealand residents are at a disadvantage when it comes to most sweepstakes that ANet promotes (unless its a global one). How about for once ANet think of the minority like AUS/NZL residents and give them a sweepstakes promotion as asia got the mini pets, US gets most of the promotions and europe still get certain compensations for not being able to participate in some ANet promotions. It would just be nice to be able to participate for a change instead of been segregated because of where we are placed on the world map. After all Guild Wars is a global gaming community is it not? |

Contests are generally highly restricted in many countries. Sadly, a contest in the US will frequently not be allowed in another country for one reason or another.
Sadly there is not much you can do, and Anet's hands are pretty much tied in matters such as this. |

It has it on the main site in big black letters, one side US, the other EU, is it that hard to see?

There's a Europe one, but Aussies and New Zealanders aren't allowed to enter. They really like shitting all over the Australians our Anet do. Yes indeed. Charged British Pounds AND unable to participate in competitions.

There are specifics to the laws of each country which restrict contest entries. Rather then whining at a.net, why don't you complain to your legislatures instead to create a uniform international law code? You actually have a vote and an impact on your countries policies. You don't have any say in what a private company can do.
